Back in the studio
It is just wonderful to be back in the studio after nearly a year due to illness and recovery. So I am very excited about my new stains from US Pigments - strong bright colours that I have displayed well on these lovely little porcelain bowls.
Playing with mark and colour
One of my interests is the "space" between the "art buyer" and the “artwork object”. Initially when a piece of art is purchased there is a connection, possibly a wisdom or a beauty - an aesthetic magic, a 'wow' factor, the feeling that this object is something special - I have to have it, I … Continue reading Playing with mark and colour

This one is a different colour and has higher fired glazes which I hope will make her stronger. … Continue reading It’s all about Balance revisited
Words, materials and transformation
I love how my hands can transform materials it into new forms. Sometimes unexpected. My love affair with clay is still alive and well, and the journey has shown me colour and print. It has re-ignited an interest in chemistry as glaze investigations are now part of my life. The mystical alchemy and transformations in the … Continue reading Words, materials and transformation
Not simply black and white
Bits of my mind. Deep in my conscious (and non-conscious) mind there is so much to uncover. It sometimes finds its way into the everyday, and I have been ignoring it. So this is the time it will take form with the writing on the blog as a starting of this unfolding of the thoughts … Continue reading Not simply black and white
